2015 OPPONENTS (ALMOST) SET
The Vikings opponents next season are pretty well set. They will play Green Bay, Detroit and Chicago twice each, and have games against the NFC West (home with Seattle and St. Louis, on the road with Arizona and San Francisco) and the AFC West (home vs. Kansas City and San Diego, away vs. Denver and Oakland). They will also play at home against the team in the NFC East (at this point the Giants) and away against the team in the NFC South (currently New Orleans) that finishes in the same spot (at this point third) as the Vikings in the NFC North.
MANO-A-MANO
Vikings DE Everson Griffen vs. Dolphins RT Ja'Wuan James
WHO WON?
Griffen finds out Tuesday whether he makes the Pro Bowl, but James won't be voting for him after holding him to one tackle and but two QB hurries. Edge to James.
PLAY OF THE GAME
WILD GAME, CRAZY END
With 41 seconds left and the score tied at 35, Miami's Terrence Fede (78) rushed from the right side and jumped over Vikings back Joe Banyard (23) to get his right hand on the punt of Jeff Locke (18) and bat it out of the end zone for a game-winning safety. Locke's first block in two NFL seasons came after he got a low snap from Cullen Loeffler.
THE QUOTE
"I did try to speed it up. But I wasn't quick enough."
