PLAYER SPEAK QB Aaron Rodgers
• Rodgers went 22-for-28 for 302 yards and four touchdowns against the Bears. It's his second game this season passing for more than 300 yards, both resulting in victories.
• In 12 games against the Vikings, Rodgers has completed 71.4 percent of his passes for 3,382 yards, 27 touchdowns, four interceptions and a 116.8 passer rating.
• On Vikings coach Mike Zimmer: "I have a lot of respect for him and what he does. He's well prepared, and very confusing at times with their scheme. I think it's a defense that's improving and will be a top defense when it's said and done."
• On rookie quarterbacks starting immediately: "The guys coming out are a lot more prepared than maybe myself, Alex Smith and Jason Campbell — three guys that went in the first round in 2005. … I think the coaching at the high school level, the college level, the exposure guys are able to get makes them a little bit more prepared."
COACH SPEAK Mike McCarthy
• The 50-year-old is in his eighth season as Packers coach. He's 84-47-1 in the regular season and 6-5 in the playoffs with a Super Bowl victory.
• On Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater's first start: "I thought he played fast. I thought he was decisive, athletic with his scrambling. I think the biggest thing is you see him go through his progressions, so he looks like he's comfortable in the offensive system."
• On the offense against the Bears: "I thought the pass protection was really good, and Aaron played extremely well.
• On the Vikings defense:  "We've been impressed with [nose tackle] Linval Joseph. I think their younger players, like you'd always like to see your younger players, they're taking a big step in their second or third year. It's a better defense than in the past."
