The NFL schedule hasn't been released yet, but good ol' Jared Allen will have to pay a visit at some point during the season when the Bears travel to Minneapolis.

Whenever that day comes, the former Vikings defense end isn't expecting a standing ovation from the fans at TCF Bank Stadium.

"Minnesota has great fans, they're going to boo me," Allen said on Pro Football Talk on Wednesday. "Absolutely. I'm sure I'll get some cheers later, but oh, they're going to boo. Absolutely, why shouldn't they? I now play for the division rival, but I love the fans in Minnesota. I had six phenomenal years there. That organization, that state will always be a part of my life. Again, there's nothing but respect and joy. It'll be a fun time to go play back against them."

Allen said he received congratulatory calls from Vikings players once the signing with the Bears became official. He said he left on good terms with his former teammates and both sides are looking forward to facing each other twice this season.

"I told everyone in Minnesota I'm going to get them all fined," Allen said. "I'll give them all a big hug before and after the game."

Will you actually boo Allen? It's hard to believe. Allen had a great career with the Vikings and it seems the respect is mutual between Allen and Vikings fans…for the most part. Playing for the Bears might be too much to bare.
