Mike Zimmer, Bengals defensive coordinator

Guided Cincinnati to a top-10 defense over the past three seasons. He prefers a 4-3 defense but has previously coached a 3-4.

Todd Bowles, Cardinals defensive coordinator

Arizona led the NFL in rushing defense in his first season as defensive coordinator. He was the Dolphins’ interim head coach for three games in 2011.

Dan Quinn, Seahawks defensive coordinator

Seattle led the league in total defense, pass defense and points allowed in his first year as defensive coordinator. He was Vikings defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd’s defensive coordinator at Florida in 2011-12.

Ray Horton, Browns defensive coordinator

Cleveland was a top-10 defense this season in Horton’s first year with the organization after finishing 23rd last year. He’s part of Steelers defensive coordinator and Hall of Famer Dick LeBeau’s coaching tree.

Darrell Bevell, Seahawks offensive coordinator

Vikings offensive coordinator under Brad Childress, Bevell helped with the development of Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. The rushing offense has ranked in the top five over the past two seasons.

Adam Gase, Broncos offensive coordinator

In his first season as offensive coordinator, the Broncos led the NFL in total offense and points per game. QB Peyton Manning set single-season records in passing yards and touchdowns.

Greg Roman, 49ers offensive coordinator

After two seasons on the Ravens staff, was the head coach of his alma mater, Holy Spirit High (Absecon, N.J.), in 2008 before joining head coach Jim Harbaugh at Stanford and now in San Francisco.

Ken Whisenhunt, Chargers offensive coordinator

The only coach on this list with true NFL head coaching experience, he led the Cardinals to the Super Bowl during his six-year tenure. The Chargers finished fifth in total offense this season.
