Vikings wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson was named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month for December. He became just the fourth rookie in franchise history to receive the montly award joining Adrian Peterson, Randy Moss and Percy Harvin.
Patterson became the first rookie with three or more touchdowns both rushing and receiving in one month since Roger Craig in 1983. He finished with 375 total yards and six combined touchdowns in five December games (16 receptions for 219 yards and 10 carries for 156 yards). He had scored just one touchdown in his previous 11 games.
