BACK IN GREEN BAY, FLYNN COMES THROUGH

Matt Flynn was Aaron Rodgers' backup with the Packers from 2008-2011 after leading LSU to the national championship. Flynn started the final game of the 2011 season and set Packers records with six TD passes and 480 passing yards in a victory over the Lions. He parlayed that into a big contract with Seattle in 2012 but was beaten out by Russell Wilson. Flynn was traded to Oakland before this season, the Raiders cut him on Oct. 7, he signed with Buffalo on Oct. 14, was cut on Nov. 4, and the Packers signed him Nov. 12. He stepped in on Sunday to rally the Packers to a tie with the Vikings. "It did seem kind of like old times a little bit," he said.

MANO-A-MANO

Vikings RB Adrian Peterson vs. Packers LB Clay Matthews

WHO WON?

Peterson had a season-high 146 rushing yards. Two of Matthews' four tackles were sacks. Peterson gets the edge for a day that, at times, bordered on dominant.

PLAY OF THE GAME

ELLISON HITS PAY DIRT

The Vikings took a 20-7 lead in the third quarter on a 12-yard scoring pass from Christian Ponder to tight end Rhett Ellison. Ponder (7) faked a handoff to Adrian Peterson (28) and rolled right. Ellison (40) came from the H-back position on the left side, faked a block and caught a short pass, then scurried to the end zone by avoiding Packers safety M.D. Jennings (43). It was Ellison's first NFL touchdown.

THE QUOTE

"Rhett Ellison, for him to get in and score on that play, was great."
