In 2012, Adrian Peterson was short of electric through the first six weeks of the season. He had 113 carries for 499 yards, 4.42 yards per attempt. He finished the season on a 10-game push when he carried 235 times for 1,598 yards (6.8 yards per carry). Peterson averaged 6.03 yards last season. Facing the same fronts, with similar QB play, in 2013, Peterson has 195 carries for 851 yards — an average of 4.36. This in a season that started with a 78-yard run on the Vikings' first offensive play. Throw out that one, and in the 194 carries since then, Peterson is averaging 3.98 yards per carry. The current 4.36 is the lowest average of his career.

MANO-A-MANO

WR Cordarrelle Patterson vs. Seahawks CB Richard Sherman

WHO WON?

Sherman was burned on a TD catch from WR Jarius Wright, but Sherman and the Seahawks secondary limited Patterson to just three catches for 28 yards.

PLAY OF THE GAME

PERFECTLY EXECUTED

With 10 seconds left in the first half, the Seahawks took a 24-13 lead on a 19-yard TD pass to WR Doug Baldwin. Seahawks QB Russell Wilson (3) threw a gorgeous pass over Vikings DB Xavier Rhodes (29) and S Andrew Sendejo (34). Baldwin (89) hesitated off the line of scrimmage before he gained just enough separation from Rhodes for Wilson to make the pass.
