The Vikings waived quarterback Kyle Wright, two months after signing him as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Miami.
The move means the Vikings likely will take four quarterbacks -- veterans Tar- varis Jackson, Gus Frerotte, Brooks Bollinger and rookie John David Booty -- to training camp. Booty was selected by the Vikings in the fifth round of April's draft out of Southern California.
The Vikings roster is at 80, the maximum number of players they will be allowed to take to camp.
Wright served as Miami's starting quarterback for much of the past three seasons. In 10 games in 2007, Wright completed 141 of 241 passes for 1,747 yards with 12 touchdowns and 14 interceptions.
