Coach Leslie Frazier said after practice today that  receiver Percy Harvin didn't practice because of a "family personal matter that he had to take care of. He should be back tomorrow."

Frazier said he wasn't sure if Harvin will have to go home to Virginia to take care of the matter.

"I'm not sure if he'll have to," Frazier said. "He's trying to get some details. We'll see. I'll talk to him again tonight."

Frazier wasn't certain that Harvin will be back on Friday.

"I think so," he said. "I got to learn a little bit more when I talk to him this afternoon."

Frazier said he was "pretty convinced" that Harvin will be able to play on Sunday in Seattle.

Harvin was limited in practice on Wednesday because of a hamstring injury.

"He looked pretty good," Frazier said. "He was fine."

Other highlights from Frazier:

  • On the progress of safety Mistral Raymond, who has missed the past five games because of a dislocated ankle: "He seems to be moving with a lot less concern about his ankle. He's moving a little bit more freely. Still a little gingerly in some cuts, but much better. He's moving better." Frazier said it's "likely" that Jamarca Sanford will start ahead of Raymond again on Sunday. "I'd like to see how Mistral does tomorrow," said Frazier, who will then determine whether Raymond plays or, if so, how much he plays on Sunday.
  • John Carlson, who still hasn't been cleared to practice following his concussion two weeks ago, won't play on Sunday.
  • Asked if rookie Josh Robinson will start at right cornerback for the injured Chris Cook, Frazier said, "Maybe. We want to watch him practice a little bit more tomorrow and make a decision probably after that practice tomorrow."
  • Linebacker Tyrone McKenzie returned to practice after his wife delivered the couple's first son.
  • Asked if rookie Jarius Wright would make his NFL debut if Harvin wasn't able to play on Sunday, Frazier said: "I'll have to think about that. I'm expecting Percy to be ready to go. But if for some reason he wasn't able to go, then Jarius definitely is part of the discussion as we decide which way to go."
  • Obviously, the Vikings didn't make a move by the 3 p.m. trade deadline today. They still have a roster spot open after placing Cook on injured reserve on Friday.

As for today's injury report, Raymond, cornerback Antoine Winfield (knee) and running back Adrian Peterson (ankle) were limited in practice. Winfield and Peterson will be fine for Sunday's game.
