Week 7 of the Page 2 Fantasy Football Challenge is upon us. The Star Tribune's Michael Rand welcomes guest picker Drew Magary -- book author, Vikings fan and the only Deadspin.com writer who works blue more often than Chris Kluwe -- into the fold. Magary, like all guests, was allowed to pick any quarterback, wide receiver and running back except for those players chosen by last week's guest picker. Rand is not allowed to pick anyone ranked in the top 10 in fantasy scoring at their respective positions.

DREW MAGARY'S WEEK 7 FANTASY PICKS

QB: Robert Griffin III, Redskins

NFL.com QB scoring rank: No. 1. Matchup: Giants

I'll take RGIII because he's awesome and because Eli Manning likes to use Redskins games as an opportunity to work on his interception-throwing mechanics.

WR: A.J. Green, Bengals

NFL.com WR scoring rank: No. 1

Matchup: Steelers

He's basically the exact same receiver as Randy Moss, only he's not a horrible person. YET. I wonder if being that good of a wideout just naturally turns you into a horrible human being.

RB: Arian Foster, Texans

NFL.com RB scoring rank: No. 1

Matchup: Ravens

He's kind of the no-brainer pick at running back. Though I could do without his Twitter poetry.

MICHAEL RAND'S WEEK 7 FANTASY PICKS

QB: Cam Newton, Panthers

NFL.com QB scoring rank: No. 13. Matchup: Cowboys

Newton has been a little bit of a mess in his second year (sophomore slump), but then again the Cowboys are a mess, too. Here's where Newton turns it all around WR: Vincent Jackson, Buccaneers

NFL.com WR scoring rank: No. 17

Matchup: Saints

Jackson has been a very nice pickup for Tampa Bay (he'd still look good in purple) and had two TD grabs last week in a rout of Kansas City. Going against the Saints? He should keep rolling.

RB: Ahmad Bradshaw, Giants

NFL.com RB scoring rank: No. 14

Matchup: Redskins

Maybe Eli will hand it off to Ahmad instead of throwing interceptions. A guy can dream.

SCOREBOARD Week 6 fantasy recap (using NFL.com default scoring method)

Winner: Michael Rand -- Michael Vick (22.3), Larry Fitzgerald (15.3), Steven Jackson (10). Total: 47.6

Loser: Martin Nunez -- Matt Ryan (9.5), Roddy White (13.2), Jamaal Charles (4.7). Total: 27.4

Overall standings: Guest pickers 3-3.

THE BUZZ If Kevin Love and Ricky Rubio time their injury returns correctly, they could charge onto the Target Center floor in matching capes. Now that would be festive.
