Vikings safety Mistral Raymond returned to practice Wednesday, participating on a limited basis 24 days after he dislocated his ankle during the first quarter of a Week 3 win over San Francisco. At the time of the injury, the Vikings estimated they would be without Raymond for 3-5 weeks. It is highly unlikely he would play this week against Arizona. But his return to practice, even on a limited basis, is encouraging.

The only player to miss this afternoon's practice was running back Adrian Peterson, held out as a precaution to help him deal with the soreness in his left ankle.

Other players who were limited Wednesday were Jared Allen (groin), Antoine Winfield (knee), Marvin Mitchell (calf) and Robert Blanton (hamstring).

Christian Ponder (knee) and Jerome Simpson (low back) were also listed on the injury report. But both practiced in full.
