DENARD SPAN'S WEEK 4 FANTASY PICKS
QB: Aaron Rodgers, Packers
NFL.com fantasy QB rank: No. 1. Matchup: Saints
Well, he was my first-round pick, No. 1 overall in my league, so you can't go wrong with Aaron Rodgers. (Note: This pick was made before the MNF fiasco gave Rodgers extra motivation).
WR: Calvin Johnson, Lions
NFL.com fantasy WR rank: No. 1
Matchup: Vikings
Have to go with Megatron. I know his quarterback, Matthew Stafford, has some injury concerns, but I'm not too worried. He's a guy who can put up some big numbers.
RB: Jamaal Charles, Chiefs
NFL.com fantasy RB rank: No. 6
Matchup: Chargers
If you're talking about running backs right now, it doesn't get much better than Charles. Is he back? I'd say the [233] yards he had last week mean that he's back.
MICHAEL RAND'S WEEK 4 FANTASY PICKS
QB: Philip Rivers, Chargers
NFL.com fantasy QB rank: No. 11. Matchup: Chiefs
Hideous body language aside, Rivers is still a quarterback capable of putting up huge numbers. It says here that he will against a Chiefs defense that struggles against the pass.
WR: Jordy Nelson, Packers
NFL.com fantasy WR rank: No. 22
Matchup: Saints
I'll take Nelson over Greg Jennings here in an attempt to negate some of those Aaron Rodgers points. This is the game where the Green Bay offense breaks out of its early-season funk.
RB: Michael Turner, Falcons
NFL.com fantasy RB rank: No. 18
Matchup: Panthers
The steady running back hasn't topped 100 yards this season, but it's hardly crazy to think he'll hit that mark and add a TD against the woeful Panthers run defense.
