MANKATO - Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was rushed to a nearby hospital Monday after suffering what coach Leslie Frazier said was an allergic reaction to seafood he ate at a restaurant during lunch in Mankato.

Peterson, who is on the physically-unable-to-perform list as he recovers from a left knee reconstruction in late December, was back in his dorm resting comfortably within hours of the incident, according to Frazier. He also said Peterson was cleared by the team's medical staff and will continue rehab on his knee Tuesday.

"Everything is back to normal now," Frazier said after the Vikings' afternoon practice. "Little bit of a scare, but he's fine."

Frazier said Peterson told him that he has had allergic reactions before, but not as severe as Monday's. Peterson's face and throat began swelling and he started experiencing shortness of breath before 911 was called and an ambulance took him to the hospital.

"He's cleared to get going tomorrow," Frazier said.

Meanwhile, star receiver Percy Harvin created a bit of a stir Monday afternoon when he left the field for a short period before returning for the end of practice. Frazier said Harvin jammed a finger but should be fine.

Backup left tackle DeMarcus Love appears to have the most serious injury of camp so far. He didn't practice because of a shoulder injury. Frazier said it will take "about another week or two" before Love returns to the field.

Kevin Murphy moves from third team to second team behind Matt Kalil.
