The Vikings have made plans for two defensive linemen to visit Winter Park this week.
Defensive end Jevon Kearse, who spent Wednesday visiting Tennessee, was set to be at Winter Park today. Kearse did not appear close to contract terms with the Titans as of Wednesday evening.
That's a good sign for the Vikings, who have been attempting to add defensive ends in free agency but have been unable to lure one for a visit. Justin Smith (San Francisco) and Antwan Odom (Cincinnati) both signed on the eve of a scheduled visit to the Twin Cities.
Meanwhile, free agent defensive tackle Ellis Wyms will visit Friday. Wyms spent last season in Seattle after playing six years in Tampa Bay.
Wyms would provide depth behind starting defensive tackles Pat Williams and Kevin Williams following the departure of free agent Spencer Johnson, who signed with Buffalo.
In other news, safety Tank Williams agreed to terms with New England after spending the past two seasons with the Vikings.
