Week 15 gameday predictions

Last update: December 15, 2007 - 9:37 PM

BEST HEAD-TO-HEAD MATCHUP:Bills CB Terrence McGee vs. Browns WR Braylon Edwards

McGee is 5-9, 198. Edwards is 6-3, 215 and just as fast, if not faster. Edwards has 13 touchdown catches and averages 17 yards per catch. McGee has three interceptions. The Bills (7-6) need to win the game to avoid realistically dropping out of the playoff race. The Browns (8-5) currently hold the AFC's sixth playoff seed and are at home. (Mark Craig)

HERO OF THE DAY: Cam Cameron, Dolphins coach

Yeah, I've whiffed a couple of times on predictions that the pathetic Dolphins will, for one week, be better than pathetic. Well, get the Gatorade bucket ready, homeboy. Cam's record is going to 1-13 with a victory over Baltimore. Going back to the more mobile Cleo Lemon as the No. 1 QB gives Miami more options to move the ball. (MC)

GOAT OF THE DAY: Eric Mangini, Jets coach

Hey, I don't blame the guy for snitching on the Patriots and old boss Bill Belichick for filming the Jets' sideline signals in violation of NFL rules in Week 1. But now it's time for Mangini's team to pay for costing Belichick $500,000 and the Patriots $250,000 and a No. 1 pick. The Jets could be looking at a beating of historic proportions. (MC)

FANTASY PICKS: Let it snow? Ahh, no thanks

Maybe you've heard: The weather outside is frightful. But what Dean Martin didn't know is that your fantasy team can still be delightful. This time of year, make a habit of checking out weather.com/outlook/events/nfl/schedule to see if any of your nuts n' bolts guys will be playing in a blizzard. This week, you couldn't pay us to start a Redskin or a Giant (90 percent chance of cold rain in Jersey ... how awful does that sound?) or a Jet (snow, cold in Foxborough, plus a 100 percent chance of Patriots). Don't go benching a Brady or a Moss because of the conditions, but if you have another options besides a Plaxico or a Cotchery, use 'em. (Chris Carr)
