Vikings quarterback Tarvaris Jackson, a second-round pick out of Division I-AA Alabama State last year, appeared in four games in 2006 and started the final two of the season.

What happened?

Definitely not the start he was hoping for. Jackson had only 50 yards passing, and the team set a franchise low for first downs with three. The loss eliminated the Vikings from the playoffs. He did have a long pass play called back on a penalty and another nice deep ball was dropped by Troy Williamson.

What happened?

Another tough start: The Rams returned a Jackson interception for a touchdown three plays into the game. Jackson did respond, rushing for a first-quarter TD and later passing for a short score. He showed some playmaking ability and led the team in rushing, but it was another ugly L on his record.
