NFC: Say what?! T.O. a 'pleasure'
OK, what in the world is going on in Dallas?
The Cowboys (5-1) are coming off their first loss of the season, and the head coach and Terrell Owens are still being downright cuddly toward one another. In fact, new coach Wade Phillips said the normally controversial T.O., a guy who appeared to drive former coach Bill Parcells crazy, "has been a pleasure to coach.
"He works hard in practice. Asks questions in meetings. He hasn't been different than any of the other players. He's certainly an individual, and he's a pretty clever guy. But as far as working with him, it's been really good. He tries to do everything the right way, and that's all you ask. And he's been a team player."
AFC: Patriots show dominance against NFC opponents
After beating the Cowboys 48-27 last week, the Patriots are 20-2 in their past 22 games against the NFC. Last season, they went 4-0 against NFC North teams while outscoring them 111-41. New England still has games against the NFC East's Redskins (3-2), Eagles (2-3) and Giants (4-2).
Colts quarterback Peyton Manning has thrown 285 touchdown passes heading into his 150th career start. That's 13 more than Brett Favre had through his first 150 career starts. Favre owns the career mark of 423. Dan Marino, who is second with 420, had 290 after his first 150 starts.
