ZUMBROTA, Minn. - One of the displaced black spruce trees from Target Field has found a home in Zumbrota.

The Minnesota Twins transplanted one of the 14 trees that was removed from behind the center field wall to Zumbrota-Mazeppa High School on Tuesday.

The tree is being planted in honor of 2006 Zumbrota graduate Patrick Gadient, who was killed in a car accident on Feb. 3. A Twins season ticket holder who works at the school took part in a team promotion asking why they deserved one of the trees.

Dan Flaaen submitted his video in honor of Gadient, saying that he enjoyed being outdoors, especially playing baseball. Gadient was a pitcher and first baseman for Zumbrota-Mazeppa. The video can be viewed on the Twins' website.
