The beat writers have moved to the second row of the pressbox today as the sun is just too much in the first row. Robbie Incmikoski and the FSN boys have been sitting behind us for three days but, guess what? They're going to be in for a surprise when they get here.

Orlando Hudson popped out and ran in the outfield for a few minutes. We'll see if he's able to stay off the DL. He kept using the word, letdown,' when we talked to him after last night's game, which didn't sound good for the Twins.

As I pointed out in today's paper, it doesn't look good for the Twins to land an impact starter. I do expect them to keep on the lookout for bullpen help. Toronto has three pitchers available in Scott Downs, Jason Frasor and Kevin Gregg who could help. Downs is a lefty, and the Twins might need another lefty with Brian Duensing now in the rotation.

I have been told by some people in the organization that Glen Perkins could end up being the lefty they add to the roster.

Update: Gardenhrie said that Denard Span was sick all last night, so he's not in the lineup. He checked with Joe Mauer, and the two decided that a day off would do him well. And Gardenhire just felt that J.J. Hardy needed a day off.

Gardenhire needed to confer with the trainers about Orlando Hudson before making a decision. But it was obvious that Hudson is not his usual chipper self.

Jose Morales and Trevor Plouffe are the leading candidates to be called up if Hudson needs to go on the disabled list.
