MILWAUKEE -- The Twins announced after Thursday's 5-0 loss to Milwaukee that they have optioned Brendan Harris outright to Class AAA Rochester and selected the contract of outfielder Jason Repko.

Harris was batting .157 for the Twins. He already has cleared waivers. He needs to accept the assignment or lose the remainder of his two-year, $3.2 million contract.

"He's going to take the assignment," Twins General Manager Bill Smith said. "And the best thing he can do is get some at-bats and go down and get himself on track."

Repko, 29, was batting .281 with six home runs and 28 RBI for Rochester. The former Dodger batted .226 over parts of four seasons in the big leagues.

I'll have more on this in tonight's first editions.
