NOTE: The Twins ask that fans attending the Target Field opener on Monday arrive by 2:15, if possible, because of an extended pre-game schedule.

KSTP's Dan Gladden looked at the Twins lineup today and said. ``I'm looking for Mike Redmond."

I thought the same thing when I first saw the order. Red-Dog owns Mark Buehrle and would have been a slam dunk to be in the lineup. But he's in Cleveland.

But....I don't think the Twins are hurting for lumber this season.

Jon Rauch has pitched in four of the last five games, so Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said he will check with the big righthander before the game to see if he's up to pitching today if needed. ``Most closers will tell you they are fine." Gardy said. ``You have to be smart about it."

Gardy said Orlando Hudson was bunting on his own yesterday when he moved Denard Span to second in the sixth. That didn't go over well. Gardy said he'll talk to Hudson and let him know that he'll give him the bunt sign the next time.

The Twins wanted to give Span the option of stealing second there, feeling that they could run on the White Sox battery.

If the Twins win today, they will start a season 6-1 for the first time since 1968.
