Brendan Harris, Jim Thome and Delmon Young each hit a home run during the Twins' 10-1 victory and series win over the Los Angeles Angels Thursday night. That's nine dingers already this season, which marks the first time since I was a sophomore in high school that they've gone yard in each of their first four games.

Since Nick Punto is a career 0-for-9 against Angels starter Joel Piniero, Harris started in his place. Good move. He and Thome (just eight career taters behind Harmon Killebrew for 10th all-time) both enjoyed their first round-trippers of the season last night, as Slim launched his second shot. Did Delmon drop those 30 pounds into his biceps or what?

It was nice to see Kevin Slowey back on the hill after his wrist totally blew it for him back in July. The right-hander gave up a run and seven hits over 5.1 innings, striking out three Angels batters. Pat Neshek cleaned up the sixth, Jose Mijares pitched a perfect seventh, and then a 2005-esque Jesse Crain came in to work a scoreless eighth. I'm trying not to get carried away and take the Crain bait quite yet, though.

To top it all off, Westminister, California native Alex Burnett got to make his major league debut in the ninth. It was a squeaky clean 1-2-3 inning, including one nifty strikeout, which is a pretty happy ending.

There was some concern when Orlando Hudson bumped his head on Erick Aybar's knee in the ninth on a head-first slide into second base, as he left the game a little shaken up. Apparently there's no need to worry though, Joe Christensen says he's going to be fine.

Some things to look forward to tonight when the Twins take on the White Sox at 7:05pm: Drew Butera will make his big league debut behind the plate, Francisco Liriano will show us what he's got, and the lineup will face lefty John Danks, who is 4-5 with a 5.42 ERA in 13 career games against Minnesota. Maybe Denard Span will raise that .063 batting average?

To help you get all fired up for the upcoming series in Chicago, which by the way is where the first super awesome TwinsTrain getaway is being held this weekend, I thought I'd share this link with you.

Did I use every possible word for "home run" in this post? Do you have any thoughts you'd like to share on last night's game? How about some predictions for this evening? Lay it on me. Also real quick, don't forget to show up at Major's Sports Cafe in Blaine for the Twinscentric Viewing Party tomorrow at noonish.

Update: For those of you who dislike Ron Gardenhire: Was he really suffering from flu-like symptoms on Tuesday?
