The longball was in full swing Tuesday night as Joe Mauer, Justin Morneau and J.J. Hardy each hit their first home run of the season off Los Angeles Angels starter Joe Saunders. Naturally, Orlando Hudson squeezed in between Man Muscles and Canadian Crushingham for some high five action. Final score: Twins 5, Torii Hunter 3.

Slim Delmon Young added another RBI to his season total with a sacrifice fly while Hunter, a former fan favorite of the Twins, was responsible for all three Angels runs. Halos fans then snuggled up in their matching fleece blankets with arm-holes and did the unthinkable: the wave.

Nick Blackburn allowed three runs and eight hits over 6.2 innings, walking four and fanning four in 103 pitches. He's still working out the kinks, but man does he rock that beard.

Jon Rauch nailed it in his ninth inning debut, earning his first of what will hopefully be many saves in a spankin' new Twins uniform, which by the way I'm pretty fond of.

Good game. Anyway, here are a few links to some interesting baseball-related stories not really at all about the Twins...

Speaking of racing sausages, if you happen to be Babes Love Baseball's 2,000th follower on Twitter (only 50 more to go!) you will be the lucky recipient of a Milwaukee Brewers bobblehead, which may or may not be a sausage. You know you like free stuff.

If you want to tell me all about a site you'd like to see in next Wednesday's link dump, or just want to say hello, send me a love letter or leave a comment below. As usual, I'd love to hear your thoughts on last night's win and your predictions for tonight's matchup featuring Carl Pavano vs. Ervin Santana at 9:05pm.
