FORT MYERS, FLA. -- The Twins will play the Red Sox one more time today, then bus straight to the airport for a flight home to Minnesota for exhibition games Friday and Saturday against the Cardinals at Target Field.

The roster is set. RHP Clay Condrey played catch today and felt good, so he won't have to open the season on the DL. LHP Ron Mahay will start the year in extended spring training, but it sounds like he's first in line if the Twins have a bullpen injury.

A quick glance at the roster.

Starting pitchers (5): Scott Baker, Nick Blackburn, Carl Pavano, Kevin Slowey and Francisco Liriano.

Relievers (7): Matt Guerrier, Jon Rauch, Jose Mijares, Jesse Crain, Pat Neshek, Brian Duensing, Clay Condrey.

Infielders (7): Justin Morneau, Orlando Hudson, J.J. Hardy, Nick Punto, Brendan Harris, Alexi Casilla, Jim Thome.

Outfielders (4): Denard Span, Delmon Young, Michael Cuddyer, Jason Kubel.

Catchers(2): Joe Mauer, Drew Butera.

Manager Ron Gardenhire said his Opening Night lineup will have Nick Punto at third base and Jason Kubel at DH. That means Jim Thome and Brendan Harris will be on the bench.

But Gardenhire said Harris could start the first time the Twins face a lefthanded starter. Haven't checked the Angels' rotation, but they have Joe Saunders and Scott Kazmir.

Update: Don't be alarmed that the M&M Boys aren't in today's lineup. Justin Morneau wants as many at-bats as possible, so he's playing in a minor-league game back at the Lee County Sports Complex.

"I told him no more than 15 [at-bats] today," Gardenhire said, smiling.

Joe Mauer played six or seven innings Wednesday, so he'll rest today and play Friday against the Cardinals (perhaps Saturdday, too).

And yes, I've got my own flight to catch tonight. Very, very excited to see my wife and daughter, if only for 48 hours, before moving on to Anaheim.

Update: Jesse Crain pitched a scoreless inning with three strikeouts in a minor-league game.
