Today's delay was brought to you by wireless problems at Tradition Field. My kingdom for an air card.

Twns manager Ron Gardenhire, before the game, pretty much ruled out having Jose Morales available for Opening Day. That means the backup will be either Drew Butera or Wilson Ramos when the Twins and the Fightin' Torii's faced each other on Apr. 5 in Anaheim.

While Butera has played at Class AAA Rochester while Ramos is coming off an injury-plagued season at Class AA New Britain, the manager appears to favor Ramos, who is one of the better catching prospects in baseball. While dfscussing the possibility of Ramos starting the season in the minors, Gardenhire said he doesn't want to hear about how Ramos is the future if the Twins lock up Joe Mauer for several seasons.

Should make for some interesting discussions between Gardenhire and GM Bill Smith during the rest of spring training.
