Colby Lewis is on the mound today, he hasn't had a quality start since the middle of the 2012 season, and this is a day where the Twins need to step up and pound a struggling pitcher.

The Twins offense needs to get going. Kendrys Morales is batting .172 over his last 15 games. Kurt Suzuki is in a 0-for-17 skid. Brian Dozier is 4-for-20 on the trip (at least he's drawn three walks). I guess I have to mention Pedro Florimon here. He's in a 0-for-12 skid and has a career average of .082 as a lefthanded hitter. CAREER.

Maybe that's why the manager Ron Grdenhire has decided to shake up the lineup as he tries to salvage the final game of this six-game terror trip. Kyle Gibson will try to shake off a poor outing on Tuesday in Anaheim.

Class AA New Britain righthander Taylor Rogers has been named Twins minor league player of the week after allowing one run over eight innings with 11 strikeouts on Wednesday.
