Heard this morning that Twins General Manager Terry Ryan is back in his office at Target Field today, working the phones all day as he tries to make a trade before the non-waiver trade deadline on Wednesday. The Twins are in the market for players who can help them down the road. Yes, they are willing to move Justin Morneau but they are not under any pressure to move salary. So if they don't like what they are being offered, they won't trade him.

Brian Duensing and Jared Burton are among other players teams have showed interest in. Heard from another club that Ryan Doumit is definitely available. Orioles scout still here.

Pedro Florimon is getting the day off, as manager Ron Gardenhire wants to use his entire bench.

Asked Gardenhire who is available in his bullpen today. ``That's a good question," he said. Anthony Swarzak should be able to give him a couple innings after getting yesterday off. Pressly was 50/50 after throwing 60 pitches on Thursday.

The Twins are 15-16 in one-run games but have won four of their last five.

By the way, the Twins have won on the last two Fridays after starting the season 0-13 on that day.
