Here are three thoughts following the Twins' 8-2 loss to Seattle on Tuesday:

1. CORREIA CLOBBERED: The last time Kevin Correia faced Seattle, at least he lasted 6.2 innings. That came on June 1 at Target Field, in a game the Twins won in the ninth on a walk-off triple by Ryan Doumit. Correia gave up three home runs in that game, one to Kyle Seager and two to Jason Bay. Seattle approached him as if they learned a lot the first time they met. Correia lasted just 1.2 innings on Thursday, tying him for the third shortest outing of his career. ``I think I've done a good job of, when I get into a jam, limiting the damage, It was kind of the opposite today," Correia said. Seager led off the second with a double to center, and it was on after that. ``It's easier to shake off just because of how bad it was," Correia said.

2. HERRMANN INTERESTING: There's some pop in Chris Herrmann's bat. I'm not predicting that he's going to be a annual All-Star, but he can be a pretty good player who can move between the corner outfield spots and catching. He flew out and struck out in his first two at bats on Thursday but ended with a single and RBI double. The double came in the ninth inning and helped the Twins avoid being shut out in back-to-back games. It was hit off of veteran lefthander Oliver Perez at that. O.K., Perez might be at the skeletal remains stage of his career but, hey, he's a lefty. Another good sign: As I left the clubhouse after the game, there was Herrmann at the computer, going over his at-bats. Good sign.

3. PACK A LUNCH II: The Twins are in the middle of the percolator now. In three straight games they will have gone from Jered Weaver to Hisashi Iwakuma to Felix Hernandez. Hernandez has thrown 24 scoreless innings at them. Iwakuma has a 0.00 ERA in 26.2 innings against them. Weaver has no-hit them and held them to two hits over eight innings the last two times they've met in Anaheim. A tough stretch, but it would be something if they could get to King Felix on Friday.
