Twins try to ride the wave against the Brewers

There are a bunch of Twins fans staying at the same hotel I am this weekend. And we all headed to the park at the same time today . I'm here to work. They're here for the tailgate.
It's a glorious day here, one made for fans and parking lots and grilling. And baseball. And Champions League finals.
Be back soon with updates. If the Twins win today, it could be one of the greatest victories since catchers stopped standing up behind the plate to catch pitches.

Joe Mauer is a little sore today and needs a day off. With Drew Butera and Carl Pavano making beautiful music together, Twins manager Ron Gardenhire decided to keep Mauer out of the starting lineup. Mauer will start tomorrow in the series finale.
Ben Revere is starting in right field, which is not the best position for him if the decision is base on solely arm strength. Range-wise, Revere and Denard Span can cover plenty of ground.
Gardenhire' challenge will be to make sure Revere doesn't get dull on the bench. "He needs to play some," Gardenhire said. Revere could spell Span in the center or Willingham in left.
Justin Morneau (.355) and Mauer (.340) are the career active leaders in batting average against the Brewers.
Josh Willingham has a nine-game hitting streak at Miller Park.
Ryan Doumit (right calf) is available to pinch hit.
Carl Pavano remains on a 75-90 pitch limit, but his shoulder is better. "We're anxious to see what happens today because he feels fantastic," Gardenhire said.
