When a season goes south, as the Twins season may well do, hope for fans can turn to the minor-league system.

If you're in that group, Upload suggests hat you can get you fix of what's going on with the Class AA New Britain from the Twins Fan From Afar blog, which chronicles the goings-on with the Rock Cats on an almost-daily basis.

Tuesday night, for example, the Rock Cats fell behind 6-1 early in their game against Portland and appeared destined for the same fate as their major league peers.

But, no.

Maybe it was having Hall of Famer Paul Molitor looking on (That's him next to the two guys in red jackets), but the Rock Cats rallied with five runs to tie the game in the seventh and won in the last of the ninth.

Andrew, the blog's keeper and an ex-pat Minnesota, wrote that Rock Cats starter Logan Darnell was doing a pretty good Nick Blackburn imitation: "For the most, everything was hit hard."

But the relievers did better than Matt Maloney, including Deolis Guerra, who struck out five in two innings. (You might know Guerra's name as the only players remaining in the Twins organization from the Johan Santana trade.) Guerra, who has struggled in previous seasons, has a 0.71 ERA in 12 2/3 innings in 2012, striking out 15 and putting only six runners on base.

And, with clutch-hitting currently on sabbatical at Target Field, all of New Britain's runs came with two outs.

Today, you take your good news about Twins baseball wherever you can find it.
