The Twins have a chance to win a series against Albert Pujols and the Angels today, with Francisco Liriano on the mound. It's a real opportunity for the Twins to distance themselves from that dismal weekend in Baltimore to start the season.

Liriano's start Saturday was one of the most disappointing things to come out of that Orioles series. He struck out the side in the first inning, but the defense was shaky behind him, and he was done after the fourth, as the Twins went on to an 8-2 loss.

As good as the Angels starting pitching is, Dan Haren wasn't exactly masterful in his first start, either. He gave up five earned runs on 11 hits in a 6-3 loss to the Royals on Saturday.

Update: Joe Mauer is slated to catch again today, even with a day game after a night game. Ben Revere is starting in right field, and Chris Parmelee has been moved up in the batting order.

Asked if this is a sign Mauer's legs are feeling good, Manager Ron Gardenhire said, "I didn't ask him." Gardenhire noted that he stuck with Alexi Casilla because he's 2-for-2 for his career against Haren.
