Outfielder Denard Span, who has struggled with some lingering effects of the concussion he suffered earlier in the season, has been scratched from the starting lineup. Apparently, something didn't feel right during batting practice. Ben Revere moves to leadoff and center field. Trevor Plouffe moves to left. Matt Tolbert starts at second.

The Twins hope that Rene Tosoni will join them sometime during tonight's game and be available off the bench.

Denard Span is going to go through pre-game workouts before manager Ron Gardenhire starts him tonight.

Michael Cuddyer's neck is still sore and is unable to play tonight.

The Twins will announce draft signings tonight. They are making progress with their top three picks - shortstop Levi Michael, third baseman Travis Harrison and righthander Hudson Boyd.

Twins GM Bill Smith, during a conference call to announce the trade, said, ``we're confident that we will sign all three of them."

That means the Twins are definitely going over slot to pay Harrison and Boyd and keep them from going to USC and Florida, respectively.

I've also heard they've had success signing one of their mid-round picks too.
