The Twins will announce a roster move after today's game to add Jose Mijares to the active roster. With the Twins already having three lefties in the bullpen, expect either Dusty Hughes or Phil Dumatrait to return to Class AAA Rochester. You would guess that Dumatrait would get to hang around for awhile.

Meanwhile, former Gopher and Eden Prairie star Cole DeVries has been promoted to Rochester, who were down to nine pitchers after the Twins called up Chuck James.

Tuesday is a big day for Francisco Liriano (slightly sore shoulder). He must be able to pitch in a bullpen session or he will not make his next scheduled start - and the Twins will consider placing him on the disabled list.

Paul Molitor, who was in Fort Myers last week to work with Tsuyoshi Nishioka, told manager Ron Gardenhire that Nishioka's arm strength is a little better than he remembered in spring training.

Ray Chang hit two home runs yesterday for Rochester - then broke his leg.

Someone overheard that and said, ``Now we know one of those wasn't a walk-off."

Don't say that around the Angels. Kendry Morales, exactly a year ago today, hit a walk-off grand slam then broke his lower leg while celebrating with teammates at home plate. He hasn't played since.

Programming note; I'm filling in for Paul Allen from 9-Noon tomorrow on KFAN. Call in and fire away with Twins questions. Will have Terry Steinbach on around 10 a,m. to talk about collisions at home plate. Trying to chase down J.B. Bickerstaff. who worked out players at the recent NBA combine. And FSN's Marney Gellner will be in studio during the 11-Noon hour.
