The Twins were encouraged by Saturday's 10-3 victory over Fausto Carmona and the Cleveland Indians, but when asked if this is was the type of game that can help a team build some momentum, Jason Kubel wasn't going there.

"Let's see what happens tomorrow," Kubel said.

At 8-12, the Twins aren't about to get carried away. On Sunday, they'll face Indians righthander Carlos Carrasco, who is coming off three straight quality starts against the Mariners, Angels and Royals.

Carl Pavano pitches for the Twins. He's been outstanding in two of his starts but struggled mightily in his other two, including Tuesday's 11-0 loss at Baltimore.

On Saturday afternoon, the Twins seemed content just to enjoy a victory, and their first output of more than five runs this season.

"It is only one day, but it's definitely a good feeling, especially the way we've been playing," Denard Span said. "We're only as good as our last game, and today was pretty good."
