What's up!

I'm in a great mood today because we finally finished our stories for the special section - plus I had to finish a big Sunday package. The weight of the world is off our shoulders, in time to bear down on the rest of camp.

Scott Diamond, if you haven't noticed, hasn't pitched since Mar. 12. He had a cut on this thumb that made it difficult to throw his pitches. But he said this morning that he's ready to go and could appear in today's game.

Don't know if there's enough time for Diamond to make the team. It looks like Jose Mijares, Glen Perkins and Dusty Hughes have a leg up in the competition. Diamond, a Rule V, pickup, would have to be offered back the Braves if the Twins don't have room on the major league roster for him. Or the sides could work out a trade.

Never say never, though. There always seems to be a late-spring injury that leads to roster adjustments.

Talked to Michael Cuddyer today. He said the hole in his foot is still filling in but he'll be ready for the season opener. Sounds like he's. `managing,' a little pain right now.

Talked to Delmon Young, who homered and doubled off of Cole Hamels yesterday. The double, he said was hit harder than the homer but it hit the wall. Hard.

Looks like Young has decided to pull the ball more this year. He's stronger from the waist up and look very confident after a good season in 2010. He's a litte bit of a Albert Belle look to him this year. That means baseballs could be in trouble

He could be a pick to click. Hmmmmm.....

The 2011 Pick to Click polls will open next week, so that thinking about the pitcher and position player you think will play with tigerblood this season.

Aaron Hicks is among the extra players in camp today. I thought he was going to rip my hand off when we shook this morning. What a grip.
