It's hard to get members of the major sports teams in any town in the same room at the same time, but FSN has pulled it off in the Twin Cities with a three-part show this week called, ``Unscripted"

The Minnesota sports scene will be represented, with Twins manager Ron Gardenhire, Wild head coach Todd Richards, Wolves head coach Kurt Rambis and Gophers men's hoops coach Tubby Smith gathering at Target Field for a lengthy roundtable-like discussion with FSN's Anthony LaPanta.

The first episode airs at 9:15 tonight.

The men discuss why they got into their profession, their management style, building team unity, dealing with criticism and the effects their profession has on their families and their abilities to good fathers. The session was so productive that FSN will show it in three parts this week.

From the press release:

Episode one on Jan. 3 will focus on how the four well-known men got into coaching, their daily routine and how they deal with media and media criticism. Episode two debuts on Jan. 6 and is a candid conversation about what characteristics make a good coach and the effects, both good and bad, that their profession has had on their families. Episode three, premiering Jan 8 will highlight each coach's sport and the fundamentals of coaching, including creating team unity, handling egos in the locker-room and dealing with officials. All three episodes will re-air on Jan. 8 starting at 9:00 p.m. and Jan. 9 beginning at 1:00 p.m. This show is the brainchild of Twins baseball communications maven Dustin Morse, who did most of the legwork in coordinating schedules and getting FSN involved. It's Gardenhire's offseason, so it was easy for him to schedule the time. Getting Rambis, Richards and Smith to agree to do the show was no small feat. In case you were wondering, yes the Vikings were involved at one point. Gardenhire and Brad Childress know each other and get along really well, so Childress on board with the project. But the show was taped toward the end of the Randy Moss mess (seems like that was a year ago, doesn't it?), and Childress had to back out at the last minute, Still, this will be can't-miss television.
