Twins first baseman Michael Cuddyer said he'll soon have surgery to clean out his right knee, which has been bothering him since the beginning of the season.

Cuddyer said he had little problem playing through the injury, but he did tail off to a .271 average, 14 homers and 81 RBI after going .276-32-94 in 2009.

Twins righthander Scott Baker will have another MRI on his right elbow this week. He said he's willing to do whatever the doctors recommend so he doesn't go through what he did this season, when he needed cortisone shots in July and September.

Danny Valencia will have his right elbow examined after playing with a little discomfort during the season but nothing appears to be seriously wrong.

Twins General Manager Bill Smith said that several Twins players are finishing up exit exams and there could be more players who will need rehab or surgery during the offseason.
