The Twins are expected to announce a roster move after tonight's game to make room for Randy Flores, who was claimed off waivers on Wednesday. Guessing that either Anthony Slama or Jeff Manship will head to Rochester.

Jim Thome, who has faced Flores, said Flores' slider is pretty good and the lefty has a good deli every and good angle on his pitches.

Thome is not in the lineup tonight after getting hit in the right thigh by a 97 mile an hour heater from Neftali Feliz that looked pretty flippin' intentional to me and other press box wags last night.

Every other pitch Feliz threw last night was over the plate. I just think someone with the Rangers decided they didn't want to see Thome swing the bat.

``I don't know,'' Thome said. ``It does make you wonder if it was (intentional).

Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said there's no way Texas manager Ron Washington would authorize such behavior - unless there was a beanball war going on. Thome is available to pinch hit.

J.J. Hardy is back in the lineup tonight, but it's clear his wrist has been flaring up on him,

Tonight is the first  of a run in which the Twins will face a lefty starter in four of five games. Cliff Lee goes tomorrow, then it's LHP Jason Vargas,RHP Doug Fister and LHP Luke French in Seattle.
