The second baseman whacked two home runs, including a three-run shot in the first inning that put the Phillies ahead to stay.

Ryan Madson was asked to close the game for the Phillies but promptly got into trouble by giving up a double and a single. But Madson then got Derek Jeter to ground into a double play, and all of Philadelphia exhaled.
