The Minnesota Twins have set their 25-player post-season roster, and it includes 12 pitchers and three catchers.
Among those healthy players not on the roster for when the Twins open on the road today against the New York Yankees: infielder Brian Buscher and pitcher Jeff Manship.
Buscher, used primarily at third base, played in 61 games and batted .235 with 2 home runs and 12 runs batted in. He was not among the 12 position players who got in Tuesday night's division title-clinching victory over the Detroit Tigers at the Metrodome.
Manship started in five of his 11 appearances. He was 1-1 with a 5.68 earned run average. He did not pitch Tuesday night against the Tigers.
Backing up Joe Mauer behind the plate are Jose Morales and Mike Redmond.
The pitchers are: Scott Baker, Nick Blackburn, Jesse Crain, Brian Duensing, Matt Guerrier, Bobby Keppel, Francisco Liriano, Ron Mahay, Jose Mijares, Joe Nathan, Carl Pavano and Jon Rauch.
Infielders: Orlando Cabrera, Alexi Casilla, Michael Cuddyer, Brendan Harris, Nick Punto and Matt Tolbert.
Outfielders: Carlos Gomez, Jason Kubel, Denard Span and Delmon Young.
