Adalberto Mejia will be called up from Class AAA Rochester on Monday to start against the Blue Jays in Toronto. When we last saw Mejia, he gave up four runs over four innings on June 30 in a loss to the Cubs on a sultry day at Wrigley Field.

"A tough day to gauge somebody, Twins manager Paul Molitor said. "You hope he's a better version of what we saw the majority of last year, which means everything from trusting his catcher more to not trying to strike everybody out to not trying to make the perfect pitch all the time. He's got pitches. We all know that."

Since returning to Class AAA Rochester, Mejia has made four appearances, including two starts. His last start wasn't pretty, as he gave up seven earned runs over six innings on Tuesday against Louisville. He did hold Scranton/Wilkes Barre to one run over six innings in the start before that.

Also, keep an eye out for Logan Morrison being activated from the disabled list in time for Sunday's game, as he's recovered from a hip problem that had been nagging him.

The Twins have to make space to both these players. The guess is that Taylor Motter returns to Rochester for LoMo and Willlians Astudillo goes to make room for Mejia. But we will see.

Miguel Sano is in the lineup tonight for Rochester, batting third. No word on if Byron Buxton, on the DL with a sore wrist, has tried swinging a bat yet.

Ervin Santana, who pitched yesterday for Rochester, will throw in the bullpen on Sunday. Then the Twins will decide if he will need one more start or if it is time for him to make his 2018 debut following finger surgery in February.
