The Yankees are 50-21 vs. the Twins since 2008, their best record against any AL opponent. … Odorizzi has dropped his past two starts against the Yankees and is 5-7 with a 4.31 ERA against them in his career. … Berrios has faced 71 batters without issuing a walk. His only walk of the season came in the ninth inning of his three-hit shutout at Baltimore on April 1. … When Gibson lost at Tampa Bay on Saturday, it was his first loss on the road since July 16, 2017, at Houston. The Yankees on Sunday called up 21-year-old super prospect Gleyber Torres and started him at second base against Toronto. He went 0-for-4 in a 5-1 victory. Torres, acquired from the Cubs in 2016 as part of a package for LHP Aroldis Chapman, is ranked as the fifth-best prospect in the game by mlb.com and was hitting .347 with a home run, three doubles, one triple and 11 RBI at Class AAA Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. … The Yankees lineup on Sunday didn't include a player 30 or older for the first time since Sept. 29, 1989, according to STATS. … While Twins CF Byron Buxton could return by Wednesday from a migraine that has sidelined him the past five games, Yankees 3B Brandon Drury has missed two weeks because of blurred vision from a migraine. Saturday, he said an irritated tendon running up his neck was the cause of the problem.
