SARASOTA, Fla. – Hector Santiago gave up four hits in four innings Saturday night in his return from the World Baseball Classic, but two of them were solo home runs. J.J. Hardy and Johnathan Schoop connected off the Twins lefthander, and Baltimore went on to a 6-3 victory at Ed Smith Stadium.

Santiago walked one and struck out four as he prepared to take his spot in the starting rotation. Craig Breslow pitched a scoreless inning in relief, but former first-round pick Kohl Stewart gave up four runs in two innings.

Tommy Field and Niko Goodrum each homered for the Twins, which brought only one projected starter — catcher Jason Castro — to Sarasota.
