Chicago's victory over Detroit on Monday means the Twins and White Sox will meet today in a tiebreaker game to determine the AL Central champion. A look at the pertinent statistics:

TWINS KILLER
Nick Swisher is batting .315 with five homers and 12 RBI vs. the Twins this season; however, he is hitting .133 since Aug. 23 and didn't start any of the games at the Metrodome last week. Don't forget ex-Twin A.J. Pierzynski, batting .362 with four RBI.
WHITE SOX KILLER
Carlos Gomez is batting .384 with five doubles, three triples, two homers, 11 RBI and 13 runs scored vs. Chicago. Jason Kubel has supplied the power, with six homers and 18 RBI.
LHP JOHN DANKS VS. TWINS
The White Sox starter is 1-1 with a 7.91 ERA in four starts this season.
RHP NICK BLACKBURN VS. WHITE SOX
The rookie righthander is 2-2 with a 5.67 ERA in five starts in 2008.
FALL BALL, FALL WEATHER• They don't call it the Windy City for nothing -- gusts up to 30 miles per hour from the northwest are anticipated tonight in Chicago. That's to dead center field.
• It won't be warm. Lows in the upper 40s are forecast.
• After Monday's makeup game against Detroit was delayed for more than three hours, more rain is forecast for today (30 percent chance). But the prediction is it will fall during the day; it's forecast to be mostly cloudy at night.
