FORT MYERS, FLA. – Tom Brunansky called it before Joe Mauer batted in the fourth inning on Saturday.

He told manager Paul Molitor that Mauer was going to hit a home run. Then when the count reached 2-0, he turned to Molitor and said, "It's gonna be on this pitch.''

And Mauer hit Jerome Williams' pitch into the seats in right for a two-run home run, helping the Twins to a 7-1 victory over the Phillies.

"Bruno, you're too good,'' Molitor told Brunansky.

Mauer was 2-for-3 in the game, with a line single to center in the first and then the home run — on a ball the lefthander pulled — in the fourth.

Signs of life from No. 7, who has been working with Brunansky on hitting more balls to right.

"I think he's going to settle in over the last week to his game approach,'' Molitor said, "but knowing he's maybe added a little more confidence in that particular swing.''

Shane Robinson went 3-for-4 with an RBI. Righthander Ervin Santana allowed one run over six innings on five hits while striking out two.
