Noteworthy: Hunter is an eight-time Gold Glove winner, five-time All-Star and two-time Silver Slugger Award winner. In his career, he has 2,327 hits, 331 home runs and 193 stolen bases.

Big family in Texas: Through the years, Hunter has moved his brothers Tramar, Tishque and Taru and father, Theotis, from Pine Pluff to Prosper to get them in a better environment. Hunter also has a half-brother, Brandon Thurman, who ran track at Army and now works in New York.

Minnesota reunion: Hunter returns to the Twins after five seasons in Anaheim and two in Detroit.
