The last time the All-Star Game was played in Minnesota, the city of St. Paul had three products of its playground system on the American League roster. Add Joe Mauer, and the smaller of the two Twin Cities has four perennial All-Stars, not to mention a pair of Hall of Famers and two members of the 3,000-hit club.

College: Minnesota

MLB draft: First round (fourth overall) by San Diego in 1973

Years in majors: 22

All-Star Games: 12

Legacy: Hall of Famer who was tremendous all-around athlete, drafted by four teams in three professional sports (NBA, ABA, NFL and MLB)

Jack Morris

Paul Molitor
