The Twins’ stay at Target Field, where they are 15-17 this year, is brief; after these four games with Chicago, they leave on another six-game road trip. … They are 1-2 against the White Sox this season, having opened the season at U.S. Cellular Field. They are only 10-18 at home against the White Sox over the past three seasons. … Pino, a 30-year-old Venezuelan righthander, will become the oldest pitcher ever to make his debut with the Twins. … Correia has given up three home runs in 23 career at-bats to White Sox PH Adam Dunn. … 3B Trevor Plouffe is on the disabled list, but his 22 doubles still rank fourth in the AL. Eduardo Escobar, who is playing third in Plouffe’s absence, has 21 doubles. … The Twins are 12-12 against AL Central teams.

White Sox update

This is the first stop on an 11-game road trip that also takes the White Sox to Baltimore and Toronto. They are 14-19 on the road and have lost three consecutive away from Chicago. … Their starting rotation had an ERA of 4.69 entering Wednesday. Only the Twins’ (4.75) is worse. … The White Sox have allowed 337 runs, 13th most in the AL. … Rookie 1B Jose Abreu, the AL’s player of the month in April, missed nearly three weeks because of an ankle injury but has batted .280 with four home runs since being activated June 2. Abreu’s 19 home runs and 54 RBI, through Tuesday, both rank third in the AL. … Danks will be making his 25th career start against Minnesota; he’s 6-11 with a 5.18 ERA vs. the Twins. … The White Sox are without injured OF Avisail Garcia and closer Matt Lindstrom. … Fill-in closer Ronald Belisario is 6-for-9 in save situations. … They are 16-15 against the AL Central.
