Rangers' power sinks White Sox

• TEXAS 6, CHICAGO 1: Josh Hamilton hit a three-run homer, and Hank Blalock added a two-run shot as the Rangers whipped the host White Sox on Monday night. Winning pitcher Scott Feldman was recalled before the game and won his third decision in a row.

• TAMPA BAY 4, OAKLAND 0: Scott Kazmir and two relievers combined on a two-hitter in the lefthander's first start since winning the All-Star Game, and the Rays won in St. Petersburg, Fla.

• CLEVELAND 5, LOS ANGELES 2: Andy Marte, Casey Blake and Jhonny Peralta hit home runs in Anaheim, Calif., as the Indians ended the AL West leaders' five-game winning streak.

• BOSTON 4, SEATTLE 0: Jason Varitek's two-run homer in the fifth inning gave the Red Sox all the runs they needed in a victory over the host Mariners.

• BALTIMORE 8, TORONTO 3: Adam Jones homered in the third inning, then got a key infield single in a three-run fifth that carried the host Orioles past the Blue Jays.

National League

Johnson has Cubs' number again

• ARIZONA 2, CHICAGO 0: Randy Johnson improved to 13-0 in 14 career starts against the Cubs, outdueling Rich Harden in the Diamondbacks' victory in Phoenix. Johnson, winning his third in a row after six consecutive losses, gave up two two hits, struck out four and walked one in seven innings for his 291st victory.

• LOS ANGELES 16, COLORADO 10: James Loney drove in five runs, including a bases-clearing triple in the fifth, and Matt Kemp had two doubles as part of an eight-run opening inning as the Dodgers won a 38-hit slugfest with the Rockies in Denver.

• ATLANTA 4, FLORIDA 0: Rookie Jorge Campillo pitched seven innings and two relievers completed a two-hitter as the Braves beat the Marlins in Miami. Florida fell a game behind the idle NL East leaders, Philadelphia and the New York Mets.

• MILWAUKEE 6, ST. LOUIS 3: Bill Hall's homer leading off the 10th inning lifted the Brewers over the Cardinals in St. Louis.

• PITTSBURGH 9, HOUSTON 3: Freddy Sanchez's three-run, inside-the-park homer capped a seven-run ninth inning as the Pirates stopped a five-game skid with a victory over the host Astros.

• SAN DIEGO 6, CINCINNATI 4: Kevin Kouzmanoff's two-run double completed the visiting Padres' ninth-inning comeback off closer Francisco Cordero as they ended their six-game losing streak.

League notes

Rays minor leaguer suspended

• Tampa Bay minor league pitcher Matthew Walker has been suspended 50 games by major league baseball Monday after testing positive for an amphetamine, which is on the list of banned performance-enhancing substances.

• The Chicago White Sox recalled lefthanded pitcher Clayton Richard from Class AAA, after optioning pitcher Adam Russell to the minors on Sunday.

• The Reds exercised their lease option to stay one more year in Sarasota, Fla., where the team has held spring training since 1998. The Reds have agreed to move to Goodyear, Ariz., in 2010.
