• The Chicago White Sox recalled lefthanded pitcher Clayton Richard from Class AAA, after optioning pitcher Adam Russell to the minors on Sunday.
• The Reds exercised their lease option to stay one more year in Sarasota, Fla., where the team has held spring training since 1998. The Reds have agreed to move to Goodyear, Ariz., in 2010.
