SARASOTA, FLA. – The split-squad Twins team that made the trip to Orioles camp scored eight runs over the final two innings to rout Baltimore 9-2 Monday.

Danny Santana tripled in James Beresford in the eighth to tie the score at 2-2. The Twins then sent 11 batters to the plate in the ninth as they broke the game open. Wilkin Ramirez hit a three-run home run in the inning to make the score 6-2 and open the floodgates.

A year ago, Ramirez batted .404 in spring training and won a spot on the Twins' Opening Day roster. Here he comes again, as Ramirez was 3-for-4 with four RBI. The veteran outfielder is off to a .571 start this spring.

Righthander Vance Worley pitched three shutout innings and attacked the strike zone, holding Baltimore to one hit. Darin Mastroianni robbed Nelson Cruz of a home run in the second inning when he reached up as he bumped into the outfield wall and grabbed the drive.

Santana hit two triples and had three RBI.
